Marcus Bleasdale

My last photography assignment was to research a photographer that we were assigned and create an image that was in their style.  My photographer was Marcus Bleasdale.  He's most famous for his documentary photography on world issues like the conflict in the Republic of Congo.  I didn't feel like I would be able to mimic those photos so I found another series he did that had a lot of outdoor photos of some interesting places.  Here are a couple of his photos.

Here are some of mine:

Erik and I laughed pretty hard when we first saw "El Bambi Cafe" and so I wanted to take a picture of it, but then it also turned out to be a pretty awesome subject-matter for this assignment.  It was a lot of fun:)
